Thanatat Sriaranyakul
Thanatat Sriaranyakul(2000) started his musical journey at the age of 6 on piano and switched to Violin when he turned 8. He has studied Violin with several teachers in Thailand; Ms Sreewan Wathawathana, Dr Akkrawat Srinarong, Mr Sittichai Pengcharoen, Ms Bing Han, and Dr Paris Paraschoudis. Thanatat has been rewarded music scholarships throughout his education. This includes primary study, middle school, high school, and university level. He recently completed his undergraduate study and received a bachelor’s degree with merit honor as a full scholarship student at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, in Association with Professor Zuo Jun.
He has various experiences with performing as a soloist and as a part of the orchestra. In 2016, he was a soloist giving a performance with Sunrise String Orchestra at Music Hall, Chulalongkorn University and later in 2019, a soloist for Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in the 26th concert in the park. In 2022, he has chosen to be concertmaster for YST Orchestral Institute. And Thanatat went to LEAD! International Symphony Orchestra: Finland Tour, as Violin section.
He earned numerous awards from Violin and String Ensemble Competitions:
- Gold Medal Prize from Ministry of the Private Education Competition 2015
- 1st place with Sunrise String Orchestra from 10th Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Competition at Wiener Musikverein, Vienna, Austria in 2016
- 1st Prize winner from the International Music Competition “Salzburg” Grand Prize Virtuoso 2017
- 1st Prize with Yimpyamp String Quartet from YAMP Vienna All-Stars Chamber Music Competition 2017
- 1st Prize winner with Yimpyamp String Quartet from “New York Golden Classical Music Awards” International Music Competition 2018
- 2nd Prize with Jam-Sai YAMP Strings from Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition 2018
- 2nd Prize of the RBSO Violin Competition 2018
- Gold Medal Prize from SET Youth Musician Competition 2018
- Gold Medal Prize from the 2nd Virtual Virtuoso Competition 2021
- One of last six Quarter-Finals list of National Piano & Violin Competition 2021 in Singapore
