Jonatan Kaszkowiak

Cellist Jonatan Kaszkowiak, a native of Opole, Poland, started his musical education at the age of 6 in Opole music school. He continued it there since 18 years old when he earned his Diploma of Cello performance. Then he graduated bachelor degree (2017) from Bydgoszcz Filip Nowowiejski Academy of Music where hi studied cello performance, chamber music and music pedagogy under professors : Andrzej Bauer, Bartosz Koziak, Renata Marzec, Radosław Kurek. He finished his master degree in Stavanger ( Norway ) in Jakob Kullberg, Ilmari Hopkins class (2019)
During his musical school, musical studies Jonatan participated in several masterclasses with renowned cellists like: Roman Jabłoński, Kazimierz Michalik,Stanisław Firlej, Tomasz Strahl, Michał Dmochowski, Jens Petter Maintz, Jakob Koranyi and many others. Jonatan participated in many music competitions and earned numerous awards at cello and chamber music competitions. Among others:
– 2004 3st prize in Polish Competition in Rybnik
– 2006 4st prize in Polish Competition in Rybnik
– 2007 4st prize in International Wiłkomirski Music Competition in Poznań
– 2015 4 st prize in International Zarębski competition in Łomianki
– 2017 4st prize in Chamber Music Competition in Bydgoszcz
– 2018 1st prize in Chamber Music Competition in Stavanger, Norway
Jonatan Kaszkowiak performs as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician, currently playing in Thailand Philharmonic orchestra as a tutti musician.
