Announcement of Auditions

Positions available
Violin I – 5 positions
Violin II – 2 positions
Viola – 3 positions
Cello – 4 positions

Audition Date
• Saturday and Sunday, 12-13 February 2022 – College of Music, Mahidol University
• Deadline to register is 7 February at 9:00 am
• Audition schedule will be announced no later than 9 February

Payment
• THB 10,000 per concert cycle
• A typical concert cycle is six days including four rehearsals and two performances.
      • Mon-Thu, 17:00-21:00
      • Fri, 16:30-18:00 sound check, 19:00 concert
      • Sat, 14:00-15:00 sound check, 16:00 concert
• Successful applicants will be offered up to eight concert cycles for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season depending on instrumentation requirements and availability.

Eligibility
• must have a completed Bachelor’s Degree in music
• must be a resident of Thailand, both Thai citizens or foreigners are eligible
• must be fully vaccinated against Covid

Possible Opportunities
• Successful applicants may be invited on the European tour planned for September 2022. (The tour is contingent on Covid regulations and travel restrictions.)
• Successful applicants may be invited to sign a full contract for the following 2022-2023 season.

• a one-page resume detailing your education and recent performance experience
• an academic transcript or certificate show you have completed a Bachelor’s degree in music
• a Covid vaccination certificate show you have received at least two doses of an approved vaccine

• Play only the passages in brackets.
• Solo repertoire must be provided by the applicant.
• No piano accompaniment is allowed.
• Thailand Phil tunes at A442. Therefore, please tune your instrument to A442 for the audition.
