Synopsis:
A sequel to Legends and Fantasies, TPO’s phenomenal 2016 concert, Symphonic Anime focuses on music from Japanese animation brilliantly rendered for orchestra.
The stylistically rich and character driven universe of anime is aimed at both kids and adults. Its many original figures include the impressionistic genius of Hayao Miyazaki, known best for his internationally recognized masterpiece Spirited Away, which holds the record for being the highest grossing Japanese film of all time.
Music plays an important role in this unique art form: it supports the emotional impact of the moving image and sometimes serves as its own independent character.
Join the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and its homegrown assistant music director, maestro Thanapol Setabrahmana, in this unique concert experience featuring music from various genres of anime, from Mecha to fantasy adventure. A fun event for the whole family!
