Chayuth Khunapinya began to study the cello with a Japanese cellist Yukihisa Nakagawa when he was 7. In 2006, he joined the Thailand Youth Orchestra and his passion for cello continued to grow under the teaching of Apichai Leamthong. Currently he studies Cello Performance at the College of Music, Mahidol University with Juris Lakutis. He has also studied with Martin Grund and Stefanie Wägner. He is also an active member of the Princess Galyani Youth Orchestra and in 2012, he was one of the participants of the Thai Cellismo Concert in 2012.

He participated in masterclasses with Professor Maria-Luise Leihenseder-Ewald from the Liszt School of Music in Weimar, Germany and Professor Krzysztof Sperski of the Academy of Music in Gdansk, Poland.
