Pongsit began to play the violin at the age of 11 with Mr. Phukorn (Suthin) Srinarong at Bangkok Symphony Music School (BSS). He went on to study with Mr. Sittichai Pengcharoen, Adrian Adlum and Beverley Davison. Graduated with a bachelor degree in Music and Sound Recording from University of Surrey, UK, He is currently a guest instructor for principle instrument studies (violin) and string ensemble at Kasetsart University. He is also a member, first violin, of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, and is doing a postgraduate degree in music education at Mahidol University.
He was a member of the Thai Youth Orchestra, Bangkok Opera Foundation’s I Musicini Chamber, Bangkok Sinfonietta, Kasetsart University Symphony Orchestra, Rangsit Philharmonic Orchestra, and Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. During his study at the University of Surrey, he was appointed concertmaster of the University of Surrey Symphony Orchestra and the University of Surrey String Orchestra. In 2008, his piano trio won the Croser-Hughes Chamber Music Award. He attended masterclasses with Mr. Tasana Nagavajara, Mr. Siripong Tiptan, Mr. Moshe Murvitz, Mr. Michael Ma, Mr. Lionel Handy, Mr. Wayne Lin, and Mr. Peter Norris.
